James is the Chief Strategy Officer at the ATI, accountable for strategy, market and economic insight, programme management and business operations. James’ role involves a broad range of activities, engaging with industry and government stakeholders, and working across the institute to support delivery of the programme, operations and new initiatives.
Prior to joining the ATI in 2014, soon after its inception, James worked in management consulting and the automotive industry as an engineer and programme manager. James holds a first class honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath, an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a Master in Engineering Management from the McCormick School of Engineering, Northwestern University. Outside the ATI, James enjoys taking part in a multitude of sports including windsurfing, skiing and biking.
