Michaela is the Head of Finance at the ATI.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Strategy Officer, Michaela leads and manages the whole finance function for the Institute. This includes the day-to-day finance operations; managing the relationship with banks, auditors, tax and HR advisors and lawyers; producing reports and financial analysis for the Board and its Audit & Risk Committee; overseeing the annual budget process and strategic planning; and directing a continual improvement approach to finance team systems and activities.
Michaela also leads the financial relationships with the Institute’s Government stakeholder, the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), and project consortia and other stakeholders in industry and academia.
Michaela joined the ATI in 2015, having previously worked as Financial Controller and in other senior finance roles in Camden Motors (automotive), Hogg Robinson Group and First Choice Holidays/TUI (travel) and Network Rail (transport).
Michaela graduated in Management Sciences from Loughborough University. She qualified as an accountant in 1998 and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
