The report demonstrates the impact of the ATI Programme on organisations which have received funding and shares insight into the distribution of the latest funding batches awarded. For the first time, we can share more information about the distribution of applications across technologies and geographies.
We are proud of our ability to convene the sector. This year we hosted over 1,000 visitors at our Destination Zero stand at Farnborough International Airshow, which showcased the UK aerospace ecosystem. We brought the sector together to discuss aerospace challenges and celebrate innovation at ATI Conference and through our ATI Awards scheme. Over 450 people have participated in our ATI Hub events which spotlight and support SMEs and startups with the potential to transform aerospace. This year, we also signed partnership agreements with the Regional Aerospace Alliances and continued to work closely with the Devolved Administrations.
ATI-supported projects continued to reach milestones and deliver impact across the country, with the opening of FutureForge in Scotland at the Advanced Forming Research Centre. Vertical Aerospace successfully completed the first phase of their piloted flight test programme. Development in wings continues at pace with the installation of the Wing of Tomorrow demonstrator at Airbus’s AIRTec facility and technologies developed through the OptiComp project, led by Spirit AeroSystems, being adopted in the manufacturing of A220 wings.
