Four highlights from Sustainable Skies World Summit 2025
Last week, the ATI team attended Sustainable Skies World Summit in Farnborough. Here are four of our highlights from the event:
🎤 Jackie Castle, Chief Technology Officer, ATI took to the stage for the C-Suite Panel on the key breakthroughs redefining aviation’s future and how we can accelerate change together.
🚀 Seven innovative companies exhibited their incredible technologies at the ATI Start-Up Zone in collaboration with the ATI Hub where we welcomed visits from Minister Sarah Jones and Shadow Chancellor Mel Stride:
- 3T Additive Manufacturing
- Alloyed
- CirculAIRity
- Hyve Dynamics
- Sora Aviation
- ToffeeX
- Ultima Forma Ltd
✈️ Adam Morton, Head of Technology – Sustainability and Strategy, ATI, joined the Practical Solutions for Non-CO2 Emissions panel, considering some of the latest developments in this fast-moving area of aviation sustainability.
This session saw participants from across the sector seeking insights on subjects as diverse as emerging on-aircraft technologies, advanced fuels, operational measures and the latest developments on non-CO2 Monitoring Reporting and Verification (MRV). Set in a workshop format, the discussions were lively for panellists and attendees alike.
Adam commented: “This was a great opportunity to outline the priority areas in ATI’s non-CO2 roadmap and funding programme. We heard from panellists about the pioneering modelling work in the University of Cambridge Aviation Impact Accelerator (AIA) and at Imperial College London, how Flightkeys GmbH continue to build non-CO2 mitigation into their service offering and the outstanding contributions NATS are making in the emerging area of large-scale contrail avoidance. A big thank you to Chair Marc Stettler and fellow panellists Andreas Petrikat, Raimund Zopp and Paul Hodgson who all made for a well-balanced and informative panel.”
🛩️ Paul Adams, Chief Innovation Officer, ATI discussed what investors are looking for when considering putting capital into aerospace technology development.
The panel explored pathways to commercialisation, assurances and capital risk management as part of the closing afternoon at Sustainable Skies World Summit.
Thank you to Farnborough International for putting on a fantastic event.
