Lightweight Fan System Technology Development (SILOET II Project 2)

The Lightweight Fan System Technology Development project is a collaborative research and technology project led by Rolls-Royce working with the University of Oxford. The project aims to develop fan system technologies for future civil aerospace gas turbine engines. New technologies will help reduce weight and resultant CO2 emissions. This ATI-supported project will take new designs of fan system components and carry out a range of mechanical and environmental testing in rigs leading up to full system testing.
