The Aircraft Research Association Capital Equipment (ARA CE P2)

The Aircraft Research Association (ARA) capital equipment project phase 2, approved by the Aerospace Technology Institute, aimed to support UK aerospace research in delivering new concepts that were more efficient in operation, cause less pollution and cost less to operate than existing platforms.

This aim was addressed by supporting upgrades and modifications to the existing world class transonic wind tunnel facility and providing additional capacity for the workshop to ensure more cost effective delivery of wind tunnel models for testing.
