Vertical Aerospace has announced a new long-term partnership with Evolito Ltd.
Evolito’s high-performance electric propulsion units (EPUs) will power Valo, Vertical’s commercial eVTOL aircraft, bringing the power of two ATI Programme-supported projects together.
Vertical and Evolito plan to jointly certify the EPUs with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
ATI’s support and funding have played a key role in advancing the EPUs and aircraft technologies underpinning this collaboration.
Jacqueline Castle, Chief Technology Officer, Aerospace Technology Institute said: “UK aerospace technology drives high‑value jobs and economic growth. This long‑term partnership between two ATI Programme-funded companies shows the value of sustained support for UK aerospace innovation.
“Developing advanced technologies through to certification is an immense challenge, and we’re proud to support Vertical Aerospace and Evolito on that journey.”
