Paul Adams

Paul leads the Strategy & Innovation team in shaping the future of UK aerospace.

Paul Adams is the Chief Innovation Officer at the Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI), where he leads the Strategy & Innovation team in shaping the future of UK aerospace. With a career spanning FTSE 100 companies and high-growth SMEs, Paul brings a wealth of experience in driving transformation across the sector. At ATI, he leads the Strategy and Innovation team which includes management of the ATI funding programmes.

Prior to ATI, Paul was Director and Head of Aerospace & Defence at Vendigital, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the consultancy into an industry leader, now part of the Siemens family. His earlier leadership roles at GKN Aerospace included Head of Operations and Head of Manufacturing, overseeing major multi-site manufacturing operations. Paul also held strategic roles at Rolls-Royce where he led global product and pricing strategies.

Paul holds degrees in Economics and Management from the University of Leeds and Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick. He is a recognized thought leader, published author, and award-winning contributor to aerospace innovation and manufacturing excellence.
