Our recent event held at the iAero Innovation Centre in Yeovil saw innovators from across the region, in aerospace and adjacent sectors, come together to collaborate. Co-hosted by the ATI, iAero, WEAF and the Heart of the South West LEP, innovators from SMEs, startups, academics and industry experts spent a day diving into the opportunities available in the UK aerospace sector. Our co-hosting organisations provided overviews of the work they do within the region to encourage innovation and enable growth. We were also delighted to be joined by Tim Evans, CEO of local SME Jigsaw Structures, who provided attendees with insight into his experience of receiving grant funding and some invaluable tips for success. Nour Eid, senior innovation manager at the ATI said: “We chose to hold this workshop ahead of the launch of our innovation initiative, the ATI Hub, so that we directly engage with small businesses and start-ups and use this experience to help us shape the Hub’s future offerings. It was fantastic to be in the new iAero facility which is right in the heart of Yeovil and we even saw some of Leonardo’s helicopters coming in to land throughout the day, reminding us of the importance of the sector’s regional footprint and world-class technology development.”Discover more and be the first to hear about the latest ATI Hub news and events by signing up to the ATI’s mailing list.
