Nour joined the ATI’s Technology Team in October last year (2017). Nour’s role is to assess project proposals submitted to the ATI from UK aerospace companies. Since joining the ATI, Nour has developed key technology strategies around advancing the use of Additive Manufacturing within aerospace. Nour has also been involved in research on cross-cutting activities such as disruption, looking at what enables disruption globally.
Nour graduated from Imperial College London with a first-class Master of Engineering degree in Aeronautical Engineering. During his studies, Nour took a year out to complete an Internship at Airbus. Here he worked on the A400M and A350-1000. After completing university Nour joined the Airbus graduate scheme, working in various departments across the business – this included working on the A350 final assembly line in Toulouse. During his time at Airbus, Nour completed an external placement in the Engineering Department of British Airways at Heathrow and was also seconded to the ATI in 2014. He enjoyed his #LifeAtTheATI so much so that he returned to join the ATI permanently!
As well as Nour’s love for engineering, he has a passion for all things musical! During his (short) career in music, Nour has performed at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and Ashton Court Stadium in Bristol and has also sung in a number of choirs. Nour’s love for music has taken him to many gigs and festivals over the years, and he has seen over 800 live acts (being an Engineer he naturally calculates most things)!
Nour loves being outdoors and plays volleyball regularly – especially on a beautiful hot summers day.
