We understand that you are aware of and care about your own personal privacy interests, and we take that seriously. This Privacy Statement describes policies and practices of the Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI) regarding its collection and use of your personal data and sets forth your privacy rights. We recognise that information privacy is an ongoing responsibility, and so we will from time to time update this Privacy Statement as we undertake new personal data practices or adopt new privacy policies.

How we collect and use (process) your personal information

1. Data about our Stakeholders

Our stakeholders include a variety of organisations and individuals we work with to deliver the ATI programme and related ATI activities. The following information may be provided by our stakeholders and held by the ATI:

  • Contact details – Name, email ID, telephone number, mobile number
  • Job details – Job title and name of employer We use this information to:
  • Provide our services of coordinating and managing projects or advising you on funding and research opportunities
  • Send you our newsletter, reports and other relevant news

2. Attendees to ATI events and conferences

If you have expressed interest in attending our events or registered for our events, we collect the following data about you:

  • Contact details – Name, email ID, telephone number, mobile number
  • Job details – Job title and name of employer
  • Dietary information and special access needs requests
  • Your preferences about our services and exhibits in the event

We hold this data to facilitate your attendance and enjoyment of our events. This information is promptly deleted after completion of the event, unless you opt to receive other services from the ATI. We do not have access to your payment details when you purchase tickets to our events.

3. Visitors to our website and social media pages:

When you visit our website, we use third-party services to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to various parts of the website, their preferences and interests.

Similarly, when you like or follow our posts on twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn we collect internet log information to understand behaviour patterns of our audience.

The above information is processed in a way which does not identify individuals. We collect this information to improve our website and its features and make our social media engagement more relevant to our audience.

When you complete a form on our website or use the email for enquiries, we will use the information provided by you only for providing you with an appropriate response/ service. The following personal data is collected in this instance:

4. Registering to use the calculator tools on our website eg Market Model, Fixed Trade Calculator:

The following information is collected when you register and use the tools on our website:

  • Contact details – Name, email ID, Title (which may disclose sex)
  • Job details – Job title, job role, name, and location of employer
  • Consent to receive other communication from ATI

This information along with utilisation data may be used to:

  • Validate the registration request prior to granting access to the tool
  • Contact you in relation to your use of the tool
  • Advise you of changes and upgrades to the tool
  • Process utilisation and registration data
  • Publish suitably anonymised utilisation data
  • Inform and verify usage with your employer or contracted organisation
  • Ensure compliance with the tool

When and how we share information with others

We do not sell personal information to any third party and only share with third parties who are facilitating the delivery of our services.

Your information will also be available to our IT support providers, cloud services providers and online software providers that we use to securely record and save your information. We always ensure that we work with companies who have well established data protection practices and have contracts in place with those providers that protect your data.

Storage, retention and security of your information

Your personal data is stored by ATI on reputed cloud service providers if in electronic format and in secured locations if it is in paper copies or other media. We retain data for the duration of the individual’s business relationship with us and as per the regulatory data retention requirements.

To help protect the privacy of data and personally identifiable information you provide to us, we maintain physical, technical and administrative safeguards. We update and test our security technology on an ongoing basis.

We restrict access to your personal data to those employees and affiliates who need to know that information to provide services to you. In addition, we train our employees about the importance of confidentiality and maintaining the privacy and security of your information. We commit to taking appropriate disciplinary measures to enforce our employees’ privacy responsibilities.

We also get our systems independently assessed to ensure that we have good security measures in place.

This Privacy Statement is intended to provide you with information about what personal data ATI collects about you and how it is used. You have a right to request correction of inaccurate information, deletion of information, and to instruct us to stop processing your information.
