About this event

Additive International (formerly known as the International Conference on Additive Manufacturing & 3D Printing), is a two-day event bringing together academic and industry experts from around the world to share their insights on the technologies and developments that are shaping the future of the sector.

With the global Additive Manufacturing market expected to grow from $12.6bn in 2020 to over $37bn by 2026*, this event provides the essential forum to fully understand the technical and commercial opportunities presented by this constantly evolving field of technology.

Why attend?

  • Expert insight from two days of conference sessions exploring the very latest developments in additive manufacturing – understand how these could be applied to your processes
  • Unbeatable networking opportunities with leaders in the field, from academia, engineering and top companies, who are driving forward new applications and improved solutions
  • A place at the networking drinks reception on day 1 – an ideal time to develop contacts throughout the industry in an informal setting.
  • Opportunity to take a tour of the University of Nottingham’s world-leading Centre for Additive Manufacturing – see the world-class facilities on offer in this state of the art laboratory as well as interact with the researchers and academics who have developed the capability.

Introducing the UK’s aerospace additive manufacturing strategy

Thursday 11th July 3:45 pm – 4:15 pm

The Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI) defines the technology strategy for UK aerospace aiming to transform the sector through technology and innovation. To date, the ATI programme represents a total investment of £3.6bn between industry and government (£1.9bn grant) spanning 417 projects. Recently the ATI launched the creation of an updated strategy and roadmap for additive manufacturing (AM), led by the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) the roadmap identifies the key challenges to wider AM adoption and industrialisation in the UK aerospace sector. This presentation will introduce the new AM roadmap, outlining the key themes, opportunities and way forward.
