Claire is proud to have worked as an engineer in aviation for 26 years, joining Airbus as a graduate in 1997. During Claire’s career, she has worked on many aircraft programmes throughout their lifecycle, including design office, Production Plants, Final Assembly Lines and Flight test.

Now, in her current role as Vice President Fuel Management – Airbus Commercial Aircraft, Claire lead teams in the UK and Spain. They are fully responsible for the research, development, design, certification and continued airworthiness of the fuel and inerting systems of all Airbus commercial aircraft. Claire is highly motivated to drive forward the de-carbonisation of our aircraft and support the Airbus Purpose – “We pioneer sustainable aerospace for a safe, united world”.

Claire’s teams are working on the incremental development of Airbus’s current programmes, the development and certification of Sustainable aviation fuels and ZEROe LH2 systems development. She is a member of the Jet Zero Council Zero Emission Vehicle Delivery Group. Claire lives near Bristol with her husband and their 16-year-old daughter. Claire works in Filton, a site steeped in aerospace history since 1910.
