Agenda announced for ATI Conference 2022

The ATI has today unveiled a programme of world-class speakers, opinion leaders, experts and panellists who make up the agenda for the ATI Conference 2022.

The two-day event at The Vox, Birmingham, on 15th and 16th November 2022 is packed with presentations, panels, fireside chats and breakout sessions focusing on the innovation, collaboration and investment required to achieve Net Zero 2050.

Day one highlights

Our opening panel session on Targeting Net Zero aviation sees Matt Gorman, (Chair, Sustainable Aviation), Russ Dunn (Chief Technology Officer, GKN Aerospace), Jahan Ali (Head of Europe R&D, Spirit AeroSystems), Prof Simon Weeks (Chief Technology Officer, Aerospace Technology Institute) and Claire Smith (Vice President – Fuels, Airbus) convene to discuss progress towards Net Zero and the challenge of delivering transformation while meeting forecasted growth in demand.

Sir Michael Ryan, Industry Chair, Aerospace Growth Partnership will give our first keynote speech before the launch of a new ATI initiative setting out to catalyse innovation in our sector. Breakout sessions on themes of innovation, collaboration and investment will be followed by a presentation from world renowned motorsport engineer and founder of Zero Petroleum Paddy Lowe.

Day two highlights

Morning panel session Sustainability at the core will see Andy Geer (Chief Engineer & Head of Programme, Rolls-Royce), Sue Partridge (Head of Wing of Tomorrow Programme, Airbus) and Christin Datz (Global Enterprise Sustainability Product & Service Integration Lead, Boeing) discuss the technological advances at the heart of their organisations’ drive towards Net Zero.

Tom Migliuolo (Business Development Manager, Williams Advanced Engineering) will share insights on cross sector innovation at pace before a panel on public and private investment in aerospace. We’re delighted Phil O’Dell, (Pilot, Spirit of Innovation) will close the conference with his reflections on Rolls-Royce and partners’ record breaking all-electric flight project part funded through the ATI Programme.
