Environmental concerns, Covid-19 and disruptive technology are changing the aerospace industry. The ATI is at the heart of this, influencing how aviation responds and how UK aerospace can adapt and prosper.
2020 will be remembered as the most challenging year ever for aerospace. Nevertheless, the first half of our 2019/20 year preceded Covid and brought some major successes for the ATI.
2018/19 saw the ATI's core R&D activities complemented with initiatives aimed at the supply chain, international collaboration and disruptive technologies.
2017/18 saw considerable change in our working environment, including managing the uncertainties of Brexit. Despite this, the government has focused consistently on industrial strategy and on raising UK R&D levels closer to those seen in other major industrialised countries.
