Our Technology team is made up of engineers from across the aerospace industry and beyond. They engage closely with industry so that the ATI is at the cutting edge of technology and able to set the direction of UK aerospace in order to ensure its competitiveness.

Senior Technologist: Structures, Manufacturing & Materials

Matthew is responsible for metallic technologies including subtractive processes, joining and near net shape technologies such as casting.

Senior Technologist: Whole Aircraft

Naomi works on modelling and conceptual design, assesses project proposals and develops tools to support UK industry in R&T development.

Alice has been instrumental in developing ATI’s in-house modelling capability, and provides technical and economic assessment expertise.

Stuart is the ATI’s specialist for aerodynamics and the focal point for the development of projects and initiatives on aerodynamic themes.

Beene is an advanced technologist in composite materials with a PhD from the University of Bristol.

Alex joined the ATI in 2019, bringing experience from industries including aerospace, automotive, motorsport, energy and space.

Lead Technologist: Advanced Systems & Propulsion

Kiran leads on a number of systems topics including autonomy, landing gear, avionics, prognostics and power electronics.

Senior Technologist: Sustainability, Strategy & Integration

Alejandro has worked extensively in aviation and the environment in an international capacity.

Cristina is responsible for the development of the technology strategy and cross-cutting areas including sustainability.

Julie ensures the smooth running of the Cranfield office and provides proactive, effective and timely support as PA to the CTO.
